In the autumn of 2021, a dispute on a Southwest Baltimore street escalated to a fatal encounter for 36-year-old Roy Henry Cantler III. On November 13, 2021, in the 2200 block of Christian Street, Cantler was shot following an altercation. When police arrived, they discovered Cantler on the ground in a pool of blood.
