The father of two young children found himself the target of gunfire in the 1400 block of North Luzerne Avenue. The incident, which unfolded around 3:16 p.m., left Breeden with severe gunshot wounds to his torso.
Emergency responders arrived at the East Baltimore location and quickly transported him to the
renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, Dontae Breeden succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. His death added to the city's growing list of homicides, leaving behind a grieving family and a community searching for answers.
