On the night of July 31, 2020, a tragic shooting in Baltimore, Maryland, claimed the life of 16-year-old Keyon Stith. The Black/African American male was in the 600 block of Mount Holly Street at approximately 10:14 p.m. when the sound of gunshots echoed through the neighborhood. Police officers on patrol nearby heard the gunfire and rushed to the scene.
Upon their arrival, they discovered the young man suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Keyon Stith succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. In a related incident that same evening, a 34-year-old man was also shot in the same area and later walked into a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
