In the quiet suburban landscape of Clinton, Maryland, the life of 29-year-old Deangelo Deonte Johnson, a Black/African American male, was abruptly ended on the evening of June 19, 2022. At approximately 9:05 p.m., the tranquil sounds of the neighborhood in the 8200 block of Bellefonte Lane were shattered by the sound of gunfire. When officers from the Prince George's County Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Johnson outside, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

The investigation into the shooting revealed that this was not a random act of violence. Detectives determined that Johnson was acquainted with the individual who shot him. For months, the case remained under investigation until a significant breakthrough occurred. Thanks to multiple tips provided to Prince George's County Crime Solvers, a suspect was identified and apprehended.

The suspect, 24-year-old Travon Marquis Ingram of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and other related offenses in connection with Johnson's death. While a motive for the shooting is still being investigated, authorities have confirmed that the two men knew each other. Following his arrest, Ingram was taken into the custody of the Department of Corrections, where he is being held without bond.
