In the predawn hours of a Thursday in Baltimore, Maryland, the life of Jesse Martinas Lancaster Jr. was tragically cut short. On July 28, 2022, in the Winchester neighborhood of West Baltimore, the 40-year-old Black male became a victim of gun violence. The tranquility of the early morning was shattered around 4:39 a.m. when police were called to the 2900 block of Mosher Street for a reported shooting.
