Vincent Omalu, a 46-year-old Nigerian immigrant who had recently become a United States citizen, was shot and killed in a residential neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland, on the night of August 20, 2022. The incident occurred just before midnight on East Northern Parkway, near the intersection with Fairdel Avenue in the northeast part of the city. Omalu was driving with his brother, Linus Omalu, returning from a cultural meeting with other African immigrants at the time of the shooting.
