In the early morning hours of October 2, 2022, a tragic event unfolded in Owings Mills, Maryland, that would cut short the life of Robert Perkins, a 40-year-old Black/African American male. At approximately 2:30 a.m., in the 4500 block of Brightwater Court, Perkins was shot multiple times. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Robert Perkins succumbed to his wounds a few days after the shooting.
His death prompted an active homicide investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department. Authorities have made public appeals for assistance, urging anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward.
As the investigation has continued, police have reiterated their need for community cooperation to solve the case. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with the fatal shooting of Robert Perkins, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects.
