Leo Black McCracken, a six-year-old boy from Pamplico, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on January 15, 1921. Leo, along with his younger brother John McCracken Jr., was adopted by Mrs. Margie Bigham Black. On that fateful day, a horrific crime unfolded on the Bigham plantation, resulting in the deaths of multiple family members. Leo and John were found with gunshot wounds to their heads, with Leo succumbing to his injuries shortly after.
