Do you know who murdered Hoyle Strickland? In the late autumn of 2014, the life of a 59-year-old Black male, Hoyle R. Strickland, was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. On the evening of Sunday, November 23rd, authorities were called to a residence in the 5600 block of Hasbrook Drive, located near Preston Highway. There, they discovered Mr. Strickland, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
Emergency services responded to a 'person down' call around 5:30 p.m. Upon their arrival, it was determined that Mr.
Strickland had died at the scene earlier that afternoon. The Louisville Metro Police Department's 7th Division immediately began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, classifying it as a homicide.
