In the quiet dark of a Charleston, South Carolina night, a domestic disturbance call shattered the peace and set in motion a tragic chain of events that would claim the life of a young police officer. Perrin Richard 'Rick' Love, II, a 25-year-old male officer with the Charleston Police Department, responded to the call, unaware of the fatal confrontation that awaited him.
He had been with the department for less than a year, a dedicated public servant at the beginning of his career.
