Deputy Sheriff William Howell Jr., aged 46, tragically lost his life on May 3, 2008, while serving with the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina. Deputy Howell was responding to a domestic disturbance call on Boyer Road at approximately 1:30 am.
