In the early morning hours of June 14, 2020, a dispute at a bar and lounge on Old Edisto Drive in Orangeburg, South Carolina, escalated into a fatal shooting. Jamel Antwan Ellison, a 31-year-old Black male, was killed in the incident. Another man was also injured.

Reports indicate that a fight involving Ellison began inside the establishment. The conflict then moved outside, where the altercation continued, and Ellison was shot. He was transported to the Regional Medical Center in a priva ...
