Death by Force

On the morning of April 19, 2025, 20-year-old African American male O’Brian Grant, a student at Claflin University, was found deceased from gunshot wounds along Legendary Drive in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. The discovery was made after a 911 call reported a body near the roadside. Grant, who resided on Resort Street in Santee, was pronounced dead at the scene by Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle. An autopsy was scheduled to determine further details surrounding his death.
