On March 6, 2014, a violent incident occurred at a nightclub in Columbia, South Carolina, resulting in the death of 35-year-old Black / African American male Luther Jermaine Mitchell. The shooting took place around 1:30 a.m. at Club Bananas, located on Decker Boulevard. According to investigators, the situation began with an argument in the club’s parking lot between a woman and an acquaintance of a man named CD Cash.
