David Nelson Hammer Jr., a 21-year-old resident of Fort Mill, South Carolina, tragically passed away on March 22, 2014. According to reports, Hammer was shot in the driveway of a home on Fort Mill Highway. The incident occurred when Douglas Jowers, a 57-year-old man from Indian Land, South Carolina, fired a single shot at Hammer. Jowers claimed that he acted in self-defense, fearing for his life due to Hammer's aggressive behavior and intoxicated state.
