On a summer day in 1932, the life of a young lawman from Fort Mill, South Carolina, was tragically cut short, setting off a chain of heart-wrenching events. Rural Police Officer Elliott P. Harris, a 26-year-old white male, was on duty on July 17th when he pulled over a vehicle on Highway 21 for reckless driving.
