In the spring of 2014, the life of a young father named Dakota Allen Cook was cut tragically short. A 21-year-old man, Cook was a native of Aiken County, South Carolina, and a resident of North Augusta. He was known as a gifted carpenter, an avid sportsman, and a loving father to his four children. His life, however, came to a violent end on the morning of April 8, 2014.
On that Tuesday, at approximately 10:30 a.m., authorities responded to a call at the North Augusta Gardens Apartments.
