In the early morning hours of July 17, 2020, a verbal dispute escalated into deadly violence at a residence on Old Aiken Road in North Augusta, South Carolina, claiming the life of 44-year-old Carlos Jermaine Turner Sr. Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the home just after midnight and discovered Turner in a back room, unresponsive with what was later determined to be a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
