John David Morant, affectionately known as "John D," was born on December 13, 1972, in Brooklyn, New York. He tragically passed away on June 11, 2014, at the age of 41, from injuries sustained from a gunshot wound. Morant was visiting friends and relatives in Saint Stephen, South Carolina, when he was fatally shot in the back at a trailer park. He was pronounced dead on the way to Roper Berkeley Medical Center in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
