In the small town of Saint Stephen, South Carolina, the life of 28-year-old Joshua Swinton was abruptly cut short on the afternoon of Friday, December 27, 2019. A male resident of the close-knit community, Swinton was fatally shot at a car wash located at 3856 Byrnes Drive. The Berkeley County Coroner's Office pronounced him dead at the scene, the cause of death later confirmed to be a gunshot wound.
