In the winter of 2015, the life of 16-year-old Cobey Lee Smith was tragically cut short in Greenville, South Carolina. On the evening of Sunday, January 25th, witnesses reported hearing someone call out to the young man near his home at 200 Clark Street. Cobey walked toward the voices, which emanated from a wooded area near the Sliding Rock Creek Trail. Shortly thereafter, multiple gunshots shattered the evening quiet.
