On March 21, 2015, Jonathan Arden Argoe, a 53-year-old man, died from gun violence in his home on the Isle of Palms, South Carolina. His wife, Doris Spann Argoe, then 45 years old, called 911 claiming she had shot her husband in self-defense after he allegedly came at her with a knife.
