In the early morning hours of February 24, 2025, the life of 48-year-old Linster Rasberry, a Black/African American male from Charlotte, North Carolina, was tragically cut short in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The fatal encounter unfolded just before 6 a.m. behind a Circle K gas station located on Carowinds Boulevard, near the bustling Interstate 77. The area, described by some as a trouble spot, became the scene of York County's first homicide of the year.
