On the evening of June 26, 2026, the life of 21-year-old Jordan Elijah Rouse was tragically cut short in Simpsonville, South Carolina. The search for justice continued as a third individual connected to the fatal shooting was identified. On July 6, 2026, authorities announced the arrest of 20-year-old Raimon St. John Campbell Jr. His capture occurred at a water park in Boone, North Carolina, where an automated license plate reader aided local police in locating him. Campbell was taken into custody at the Watauga County Recreation Center without incident and is being held without bond while awaiting extradition back to South Carolina to face a murder charge. While investigators have not publicly disclosed a motive for the shooting, the arrests of the three suspects mark a significant step in the ongoing case. The investigation remains active, and the legal proceedings against Nylin Harris, Xavian Cherry, and Raimon St. John Campbell Jr. are pending in Greenville County.
