His father, Michael Lee Roe, Sr. of Berkeley, West Virginia, and two sisters, Caren and Sharon of Baltimore, Maryland, also survived him. A memorial service was held in his honor on April 9, 2015, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
