In the quiet community of Chesnee, South Carolina, the life of 40-year-old Carey Michael Mauldin was brought to a violent end on Friday, May 22, 2015. Mauldin was discovered deceased in his home, the victim of a fatal shooting. The grim scene also involved his girlfriend, who was found with her wrists bound and suffering from a gunshot wound. She managed to escape and seek help from neighbors, who were alarmed to see her bleeding badly.
