In the summer of 2015, the life of 40-year-old Richard Williams, a male resident of Charleston, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. On the evening of June 3rd, Williams was found deceased in the driveway of his home, having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. The discovery prompted an immediate investigation by local law enforcement, who soon uncovered the violent circumstances that led to his demise.
The investigation revealed that Williams' death was the result of a drug deal that had
taken a violent turn. The man responsible for the shooting was identified as 35-year-old Walter Williamson of North Charleston. Following an investigation into the incident, Williamson was apprehended and faced legal proceedings for his role in Williams' death.
In April 2018, Walter Williamson appeared in court and accepted a plea deal. He pleaded guilty to the charge of voluntary manslaughter. As a result of his plea, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the death of Richard Williams, bringing a close to the nearly three-year-long case.
