In the early morning hours of June 30, 2015, Gerrod Theopolus Metoyer, a 29-year-old male, was found deceased at the intersection of Ashley Phosphate Road and Dorchester Manor Boulevard in North Charleston, South Carolina. The cause of his death was a gunshot wound to the head.

The investigation into his death led to the arrests of three individuals in July of that year. The suspects were identified as 18-year-old Marques Lamont Butler, 16-year-old Dashawn Khalil Ford, and a 14-year-old m ...
