A simmering holiday weekend dispute at a popular boat landing in Eutawville, South Carolina, violently erupted, leaving a young man dead and shattering the festive atmosphere. Adrian Jamil Eaglin, a 20-year-old Black male from Sumter, was shot and killed on July 5, 2015, at the Indian Bluff Recreation Park. The argument, which had reportedly been escalating throughout the day, centered on the operation of a personal watercraft near an area where children were playing in the water.
