In the early morning hours of a Tuesday in Louisville, Kentucky, a tragic incident cut short the life of Zemenfes Tekle, a 33-year-old man who had moved to the city from Ethiopia in 2014. On April 12, 2016, while Tekle was asleep in his bed in his home on Cecil Avenue, several shots were fired. One of these bullets penetrated the house and struck him in the head, causing his death.
