Death by Force

James David Porter III, a 22-year-old from Lexington, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on August 3, 2015. Porter was found deceased with multiple gunshot wounds on the dirt road portion of Old Orangeburg Road near midnight. The investigation revealed that Porter had exchanged text messages with Charles Alton Morehouse earlier in the evening. Morehouse, who was involved in a methamphetamine ring and under investigation for narcotics, believed Porter was a police informant.
