On a late Monday afternoon in Beech Island, South Carolina, the life of 40-year-old Quincy Bernard Brigham of Augusta came to a violent end. On November 30, 2015, authorities responded to a call at 4:50 p.m. and discovered Brigham's body at a residence located at 252 Church Road. He had been shot multiple times.
When deputies from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, they encountered another man who acknowledged his involvement in the incident.
This individual was identified as 31-year-old Dimitri Carter of North Augusta. Investigators immediately began questioning him about the events that had transpired. The preliminary details emerging from the investigation suggested that the shooting was connected to drug-related activities.
As the investigation continued, Dimitri Carter was arrested and initially charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.
