A quiet night in Beech Island, South Carolina, was shattered by the sound of gunfire in the early hours of a Monday morning in March 2017. Responding to a call at approximately 2:00 a.m., Aiken County Sheriff's deputies arrived at a gas station to a grim scene. Inside a car, slumped in the driver's seat, was a young man who had sustained several gunshot wounds.
