In the summer of 2016, a dispute over a deceased dog is believed to have led to the fatal shooting of a North Charleston man. Antwan Johnson, a 30-year-old male, was shot and killed on the afternoon of Sunday, July 10, 2016. The Charleston County Coroner's office confirmed that Johnson died at the scene of the shooting.
