In the summer of 2023, the life of Malcolm J. Jones, a 35-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short in North Charleston, South Carolina. Originally from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Jones was found unresponsive in a parking lot on the morning of July 3, 2023. The cause of his death was determined to be a result of gun violence that occurred the previous day.
