Death by Force

Charles Allen Judge Jr., a 40-year-old United States Army Sergeant First Class, tragically lost his life on July 24, 2016, in Chapin, South Carolina. Judge, along with another soldier, Sgt. 1st Class Jonathan Michael Prins, was attempting to protect a woman who was being assaulted by a man in the parking lot of a bar. The incident occurred at the Frayed Knot Bar and Grill on Dreher Island Road. Both soldiers were shot multiple times while trying to intervene in the altercation.
