On a Wednesday in early November of 2016, the quiet community of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, was unsettled by a grim discovery that would leave a lasting sense of unease. Inside a home, two men were found dead, their lives cut short by an act of violence. One of the victims was Charles Stanton Baranett, a 50-year-old man.
