Deysi Pacheco Bonilla, a 26-year-old woman from El Salvador, was last seen on May 18, 2022, near McAllen, Texas. Deysi had been attempting to migrate to the United States and was part of a group being led by a "coyote" or human smuggler. According to her family, she was abandoned by the coyote due to severe health issues, including heat exhaustion and swollen feet from extensive walking.
