Lourdes Urrieta, a 58-year-old woman from El Paso, Texas, whose ethnicity was not publicly reported, died on Aug. 26, 2025. Officers were dispatched for a welfare check to the 11800 block of Chelita Drive on the far East Side that morning. Inside the home, police found two people dead: Lourdes Urrieta with injuries and a man identified as 58-year-old Jose Urrieta with a gunshot wound to the head. Detectives from the Crimes Against Persons Unit responded and began their investigation.
