Khaalis Kindu Jackson, a 19-year-old from Summerville, South Carolina, was found dead on November 18, 2016, at the Econo Lodge on Holiday Drive. According to the Berkeley County Coroner's Office, Jackson had been shot twice and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident also involved a woman who sustained gunshot wounds but survived and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
