On the evening of April 23, 2017, a tragic series of events unfolded at a residence on Airport Road near Pageland, South Carolina, culminating in the death of 25-year-old Darrius Lamont Robinson. The incident began when a woman arrived at Robinson's home, purportedly to purchase drugs. When Robinson informed her that he had none, two masked men forcibly entered the home. In the presence of Robinson's girlfriend and a 4-year-old child, one of the intruders shot Robinson in the chest.
