Robert Blanding, a 25-year-old resident of St. Helena Island, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on November 22, 2017. His body was discovered on the side of F & B Road on Lady’s Island, marking the beginning of a complex investigation into his death. Robert and his 19-year-old nephew, Chaz Blanding, were both victims of a fatal shooting during an apparent robbery attempt on a secluded road just after dark on November 21, 2017.
