It is with sadness that we report the passing of Shaheem Deshawn Lyons, a young man from Dillon, South Carolina. He was born on October 1, 1994, and his life was cut short on Saturday, November 25, 2017.

The community was invited to pay their respects and celebrate his life at a funeral service held at Mars Hill Bibleway Holiness Church on Sunday, December 3, 2017. He was laid to rest at the Roadside Cemetery.
Shaheem was the son of Sabrina Lyons and the late Eric Bethea. He is remembered by his mother, his children, Shaheem Lyons, Jr., and E'Lajaiha Lyons, his grandmother, and a host of other relatives and friends who mourned his untimely departure.
