In the late summer of 2018, the life of 18-year-old Deshaun Owens was cut short in a burst of violence that sent ripples through his Hartsville, South Carolina community. On the evening of September 19th, at approximately 8:30 PM, gunshots rang out on Bell Avenue. When the sound faded, Deshaun, a male, was left fatally wounded.
