A bright Sunday morning in Columbia, South Carolina, turned tragic for 50-year-old Jose Martinez, a male resident of the city. On January 6, 2019, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Martinez was at an Exxon gas station located on the 9400 block of Wilson Boulevard, a street he also called home. It was there that he was shot in the upper body, sustaining a fatal injury. Despite being wounded, Martinez managed to either walk or drive to a nearby lot where he was discovered by emergency medical services. ...
