Frederick O'Neal Burns, a 28-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on June 16, 2019, in San Antonio, Texas. Burns was fatally shot in the upper torso and head area while on the East Side of San Antonio. He was found lying on the ground with gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead at Brooke Army Medical Center. The incident occurred on Flora Mae and Alfred drives, just south of East Houston Street.
Despite an extensive search, including the deployment of a police helicopter and the blocking off of the area, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The San Antonio Police Department has been actively seeking a black SUV seen going northbound on Flora Mae Drive toward Houston Street around the time of the shooting. Investigators have been canvassing the area for possible witnesses and cameras that may have captured the incident, but so far, no significant leads have been found. The case remains unsolved, and the search for Burns' killer continues.
