In the summer of 2019, a young man's life was cut short in a fatal shooting in North Charleston, South Carolina. Twenty-one-year-old Ronald Lamont Simmons was killed on June 30, 2019, following a dispute in the parking lot of a convenience store on Sumner Avenue. The incident, which stemmed from an argument with another individual, escalated quickly into violence.
