In the early morning hours of July 1, 2019, a burst of violence outside a North Charleston, South Carolina sports bar claimed the life of Lamont Perez 'LP' Simmons. The 34-year-old man was found shot on the ground in the 3500 block of Dorchester Road after police responded to a call at approximately 1:43 a.m. He was rushed to the Medical University of South Carolina, but tragically, his wounds proved fatal.
