In the summer of 2019, a fatal shooting in Easley, South Carolina, claimed the life of 37-year-old Jamie Piche Scruggs. On the evening of Saturday, July 13, 2019, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Ruby Drive following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered that Scruggs had sustained a gunshot wound.
