Death by Force

James L. Williams Jr., a 23-year-old resident of Darlington, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on the night of August 29, 2019. The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. on Larrys Drive, off Rogers Road. According to Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee, Williams was pronounced dead at the scene due to a fatal shooting. The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) were involved in the investigation, which remained ongoing at the time.
